Elijah Woodward is a sworn police officer and cybersecurity expert. He is a member of the High Technology Crime Investigator’s Association and the International Law Enforcement Educator’s and Trainer’s Association and serves on the board of directors at the FBI’s InfraGard program for Arizona. He has presented widely on the confluence of cybersecurity and human technology paradigms, including recent invitations to present at the University of Arizona and the U.S. Cyber Crime Conference. Woodward is a certified ethical hacker. He is also a featured columnist at CalibrePress.com, has been featured in Police Magazine, and writes for Tucson Local Media.
Woodward is also a proud Millennial and was the youngest member of his department when he joined. The challenges and opportunities of working with technology across generations is one of his passions, and he has been a change-agent in his department’s online security and investigations. He has also served as a department liaison to the community and media, teaching residents how to protect themselves online. Woodward holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis on leadership. He volunteers on the board of the Southern Arizona Veterans and First Responders Living Memorial.
