a Joint Venture with NYTOA
Calibre Press is excited to announce that it has joined forces with the New York Tactical Officers Association to push forward a new national Patrol Tactics Conference designed to specifically meet the needs of patrol officers, command staff in charge of generating patrol-related policy and agency instructors tasked with training their boots-on-the-ground troops. Offered in three- and four-day versions, the conference features timely, practical training conducted by key members of the Calibre Press team as well as other excellent trainers from around the country.
In addition to a full day of the iconic Street Survival® Seminar, attendees can choose from a wide variety of course topics ranging from vehicle engagement tactics for patrol officers, weapon retention and tactical handcuffing techniques to building clearing tactics, a TASER Basic Instructor Course, patrol-level response to active shooters and other in-progress threats and an extremely popular new Calibre course, The Use of Force Was Legally Justified, But Was it Necessary? Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a wide range of vendor booths manned by some of the leading gear suppliers, law enforcement product manufacturers and service providers in the industry.
“For years, Calibre Press has recognized the need for a national conference specifically focused on the increasingly complex issues facing modern-day patrol officers,” says Calibre Press co-owner and Director of Curriculum, Jim Glennon. “It has been our goal to help facilitate an event like this and the opportunity to work in tandem with the New York Tactical Officers Association facilitated our ability to make this a reality.”
“Bringing the Patrol Tactics Conference to the national stage is squarely in line with Calibre’s mission to ensure that officers have access to the best training and the highest quality resources available,” adds Calibre Press CEO, Scott Buhrmaster. “The team at the New York Tactical Officers Association shares the same level of passion and dedication to supporting officers at all levels as our team, which made working together an obvious decision. The powerful line-up of courses, the impressive roster of exhibitors and the excellent networking opportunities this event will offer promises to make it a memorable and professionally beneficial experience for all involved.”
