Chuck Remsberg Joins Calibre Press as Editor-in-Chief of The Calibre Report

June 19, 2019

Calibre Press is proud to announce that iconic law enforcement author, Chuck Remsberg, has joined our editorial team as Editor-in-Chief of a new, premium-level e-newsletter, The Calibre Report.

Chuck is an original co-founder of Calibre Press and author of the bestselling training trilogy, Street Survival, The Tactical Edge, and Tactics for Criminal Patrol. In 1995, he and Calibre CEO, Scott Buhrmaster, co-founded the Street Survival Newsline, one of the first law enforcement e-newsletters ever launched. In less than five years, Newsline readership grew from 25 officers to more than 250,000 in 26 countries, making it one of the most popular training vehicles in law enforcement history.

For years, Chuck served as Senior Contributor and Special Projects Director for PoliceOne.com. During his tenure there Chuck authored, Blood Lessons: What Cops Learn from Life-or-Death Encounters, which was published in 2008. This title quickly joined his previous books listed among the “10 Best Law Enforcement Books of All Time,” as designated by Law Officer Magazine.

For more than a decade, Chuck served as Editor-In-Chief of Force Science News, a popular e-newsletter published by the Force Science Institute, a position he held just prior to joining Calibre.

In 2010, Remsberg received a Commemorative Award from the International Association of Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers, recognizing 30 years of service to law. His decades of work earned him the prestigious O.W. Wilson Award for outstanding contributions to law enforcement and the American Police Hall of Fame Honor Award for distinguished achievement in public service.

Having Chuck on board at Calibre Press will not only have a major impact on our organization but on the law enforcement community as a whole,” says Calibre co-founder Jim Glennon. “Chuck’s depth of knowledge in this realm is extraordinary and his ability to identify and dissect the topics that are critical to officer safety and performance and to explain key concepts in a practical, understandable fashion is literally second to none. We are truly honored to welcome Chuck back to Calibre Press.”
