Applications for the Gulf Shores Police Department can be downloaded from our website at:www.gulfshoresal.gov.  Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on October 31, 2016.

Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Have at least a high school diploma (a college degree is preferred)

And;

Successfully pass the following:

Written examination

Physical agility test consisting of a 1.5 mile run in under 15:28, 25 sit ups within one minute, 22 pushups within one minute and a 300 meter untimed swim

Oral Interview

Background Investigation

Polygraph Examination

Psychological Examination

Medical Examination

Drug Screen

GSPD also has a tattoo policy which is available on request

It is anticipated that testing will take place on December 9-11, 2016
