Police say multiple mental health intervention calls were fielded for the man

From Oklahoma City’s Koco.com:
Authorities released court documents that say the man who was killed in an officer-involved shooting in late June on a city bus had shown signs of mental illnesses and said “cops are the devil” shortly before being shot.
Investigators learned that Miguel Chavez started showing signs of mental illness about three months before the incident and was in the process of getting a divorce, the documents said. His wife told police that the divorce was a result of violence in the home.
“Chavez wanted to take their son from the home and ‘save his soul’ because he felt the family was condemned,” the documents said.
His wife told officers that Chavez was picked up earlier in the day by police and was taken to St. Anthony Hospital for a mental evaluation, according to the document. She said he called her around 4:30 p.m. June 24 to tell her he was released from the hospital and was walking the streets.
