This morning, a suspect shot and killed Adam Ward and Alison Parker of WDBJ7 during a live broadcast. Adam, a camerman with WDBJ7 was 27 years old. Alison, a reporter, was just 24.
The suspected shooter, Vester Flanagan, also known as Bryce Williams, was confronted on Interstate 66 and shot himself. It has been reported he is in critical condition.

Statement from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office:
The Franklin County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred this morning at Bridgewater Plaza near Smith Mountain Lake. At this time, Franklin County sheriff’s officials can confirm that three people were shot. Two of the individuals are deceased and a third victim is hospitalized. The shooting occurred around 6:45 a.m. during a WDBJ 7 (CBS affiliate) live shot.
