VIDEO: Family Shot in Front of Police

April 4, 2015

A woman and her 12-year-old son allegedly laughed at a man who had his feet dangling out the window of his Cadillac. Suspecting the man to then be following them, the woman pulled up to a stopped traffic officer and alerted him. The officer instructed the woman to pull in front of his patrol vehicle. As she did, a man jumped out of the passenger side  of the Cadillac and rained bullets at the woman and her son, hitting both.

The officer returned fire, killing the gunman. The woman died at the scene. Her 12-year-old son was treated at a local hospital and released.
