Officer Down:

Corrections Officer Christopher Davis and Corrections Officer Eligio Garcia were killed in a prison bus crash near Pennwell, TX.  Officer Garcia and Davis, along with eight inmates, suffered fatal injuries.

Deputy Chief Steven Bonano died from blood cancer he contracted after inhaling toxic materials as he participated in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.

Cop Killer Executed:

Andrew Brannan, a man who fatally shot Deputy Kyle Dinkheller in 1998, was pronounced dead at 8:33 pm Tuesday after a single-drug injection.

Video of this tragic event has been used in training academies all over the country and in the Streeet Survival Seminar.

News:

Attorney General Eric Holder is barring local and state police from using federal law to seize cash, cars and other property.

Two dead as gunman opens fire in Florida Mall stemming from a possible domestic incident.

Professionalism:

While making an arrest for an outstanding warrant on Saturday, Nashville Metro officers had to deal with bystanders hurling profanities, taunts and threats.  Great restraint shown by the officers.
