Street Survival Instructor

Lt. Jim Glennon, a third generation law enforcement officer, retired from the Lombard, Ill. Police Department after 29 years of service. Rising to the rank of lieutenant he commanded both patrol and the Investigations Unit. In 1998 he was selected as the first Commander of Investigations for the newly formed DuPage County Major Crimes (Homicide) Task Force.

Lt. Glennon has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Law Enforcement Justice Administration. A graduate of the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University, Jim was elected class president, received the prestigious Kreml Leadership Award and then immediately joined the adjunct staff.

Jim now serves as an instructor for the Street Survival seminar, and as the Director of Curriculum for Calibre Press. Jim specializes in teaching courses in communication (Arresting Communication), and leadership (Finding the Leader in You). He is also a regular columnist for Policeone and authored the book ARRESTING COMMUNICATION: Essential Interaction Skills for Law Enforcement published by Calibre Press and available at policeonebooks.com.
