Logging In

I don’t have a username and/or password.

Have you registered with CalibrePress.com yet? Registering is easy and free, just go to our registration page, select your LE status from the drop box on the left side, and click Continue. Be sure to complete the forms on the following page and choose a username that is unique – if it is already in use by another member your application will not go through. Once you’re application is submitted you will receive a confirmation by email.

I’ve already registered but I lost my username and/or password.

To have your username and password emailed to you click here. This will be sent to the email address that is listed in your account information – if the email address we have for you is not your current address, contact customer support.

I know that I’m entering my username and password correctly but I still can’t log in.

Quite often when users contact us about log-in problems it has to do with trying to access secure areas of our site. If you have not been given confirmed law enforcement status you will be reverted back to a log in screen when you try to access secure sites. For more information about secure access, see "Secure Access" below.

Bearing the above in mind, if you’re still having problems logging in and you know your information is correct it is most likely something to do with your web browser that is keeping the website from logging you in properly.

First make sure that you’re using a compatible web browser and that you have the latest version – Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 and Mozilla Firefox version 1 are both good. After that, check your "privacy settings" on your web browser. To do this using Microsoft Internet Explorer, click on “Tools” at the top of the page, then click “Internet Options,” and then click on the “Privacy tab.” Your privacy setting can NOT be set higher than “Medium High” for CalibrePress.com to work properly. If your settings are at “High” or “Block All Cookies,” you will not be able to sign in. If that is the case, you will need to change this setting to at least “Medium High” and hit “Apply.” If there is no option to change your settings and it says “Custom,” click “Default” and then “Apply.”

Next, click the “General tab” at the top of “Internet Options.”  In the middle of the general tab is an area called “Temporary Internet Files” with three buttons: “Delete Cookies,” “Delete Files,” and “Settings.” Click on the “Delete Cookies” button and hit “Ok,” then click on the “Delete Files” button and hit “Ok.” Click the “Ok” button at the bottom of “Internet Options”, close your web browser and re-open it, and try logging in again.

Doing this will amend your internet settings and clear your cache so that hopefully you will be able to log-in. If after following these steps you still can’t log-in, please call customer support at 888-765-4231 during business hours and we will be happy to help you further.

Secure Access

What is secured on CalibrePress.com?

Articles, tips, alerts, documents and other types of information that we deem as “sensitive” are not open for public viewing on our site. To access these pages a member must be logged in and their account must be set by us as “confirmed.” Non-confirmed members of CalibrePress.com do not have access to these pages.

What does it mean to be “confirmed?”

To maintain the integrity of our site, we only grant confirmation to members that have been verified as sworn law-enforcement.

How do I get confirmed?

Every member who wishes to be confirmed must go through our employment verification process. In most cases, this is simply performed by calling your agency/department and verifying that you are a sworn officer currently employed there.

If you are a full time sworn officer in the United States, your account (assuming you selected the category “US Law Enforcement” when you registered) will automatically be selected for employment verification. The number that we call is the same number that you entered in your account information when you registered for your agency/department – it should not be your personal/home phone number. Obviously, you can’t verify your own employment, so the number should be for dispatch, the human resources/payroll/personnel department, or your supervisor.

If you are a reserve/auxiliary officer or a military officer you will need to contact us to request confirmation. You should provide a phone number for your department or supervisor if you have not done so already in your account information.

If you are a retired officer you will need to contact us to request confirmation. You should provide us with the number to the department and the name of a contact where you were last employed.

If you are an officer outside of the United States we cannot call to verify your employment. Instead, what we will need is a letter on official letterhead from either the human resources/personnel/payroll department or your supervisor stating that you are currently employed as an officer with your department. Included should be their title and contact information. You can fax it to (415) 962-8340 or scan and e-mail it to sitesupport@calibrepress.com. Please note that badges and IDs will not be accepted.

Members who registered under “Civilian,” “Manufacturer,” or “Non-Sworn” cannot be confirmed – if you registered under one of these categories in error (or have since become sworn law enforcement), contact customer support.
